The Drugs Are Working is a blog created to share live recordings from bands that I taped from 2002 through 2006 in Dallas/Ft Worth/Denton, Texas area. Also, I'm back from the break so look for the new stuff.

To date I have recorded 166 performances. I will post those shows that I recorded in absolutely no obvious order.

I don't care if you repost my work onto other boards but at least give me credit on your post and direct the link here to download the show. Help spread the word.

Let me know if you find any dead links and I'll repost it.

Spiritualized live in Dallas TX - November 20, 2003 - CPR-101

In spirit of the new album being announced I thought I would post the only Spiritualized show I've recorded. Unfortunately I had not started taping shows when I saw them play prior.

I don't remember much about this show, except that it was loud and so good. Listening back on it I remember one song that really floored me was Take Your Time. There's something about this song that just gets me every time I hear it.

When you listen to this, I'd recommend listening to it in your headphones. The mics I used to use sound best that way. If not then BLAST it on your speakers, otherwise you'll miss way too much.

Enjoy.

I can't believe how hard its been to find Live stuff... as for DVDs - forget it (4 days in and I have 1! :/ )

found 9 at dimeadozen (2 or 3 down)
Tried many search string variations, 9/10 dead ends.

k gonna kik back to this and the others at Spiritualized's site..

(Odd I own every CD but I NEED that live thing going on :)))

Theres also a lot of Live stuff here :-
http://www.bradleysalmanac.com/2007/11/mp3s-spiritualized-live-in-boston.htm

Sh1t loads of studio albums of both Spacemen 3 & Spiritualized at georgedelarge.blogspot.com (george-de-lagre's.blogspot.com ?? - google knows :)

and this is still available

Spiritualized Acoustic Mainline 2007 11 11 Bimbo 039 s 365 SF
I think here the URL is:-
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZV0S..0M

but google the 'Spiritualized Acoustic Mainline" bit and you'll get the 'flipside/live version' (if you like of 'Electric Mainline' the album that was played all over, theres a Boston version I've heard a snip from dimeadozen (if you join btw make it your home page for a few days as it is often closed then open around the 6th visit... DON'T miss the registration requests - simple things like email :)) cos you only get 1 go at it then its 'start all over again", but only 6 steps not 12...

kwith that info you should be able to get ALLowed of the commercial stuff some excellent (quality) stuff from Spiritualized themselves (or J.Pearce...) inc outakes, alternate mixes, and an extremely high quality live set available in FLAC or mp3
also videos
+
you tube videos also
&
a ton of Live boots

there is also the 'Elvis' track & the 4gig Glastonbury set that's reasonaby easy to google out..

If anyone wants to tell me where I can get a couple of DVD gigs (pro) I'd not say no - I have a blog and leaving a comment will email me whatever you leave.

Here's hoping
